With all important Champions League matches for Manchester City and Liverpool coming up in the week it will be interesting to see what teams they put out in their respective matches against Everton and Sunderland. Elsewhere, there are clashes at the bottom and the top of the table as Burnley face QPR and Southampton host Manchester United and we’ve picked out some great BTTS tips for you this week.
Saturday 6th December 2014
- Newcastle v Chelsea (Evens with Ladbrokes) – Newcastle have been on a good run of form apart from their blip against West Ham last weekend and having beaten Chelsea at St. James’ Park the last two times the sides have met they will be full of confidence. Chelsea have only failed to hit the back of the net once so far this season prior to their midweek match and so evens look like very good odds.
- Queen’s Park Rangers v Burnley (Evens with Coral) – Evens also looks like very tempting odds in this fixture with both QPR and Burnley beginning to score goals on a regular basis, the latter greatly helped by England under 21 international Danny Ings whilst QPR are heavily reliant on former Burnley man Charlie Austin. At this stage of the season this is already something of a relegation six pointer and both sides will be doing all they can to secure victory.
- Liverpool v Sunderland (10/11 with Ladbrokes) – Liverpool look like they could score and concede at any moment during matches and despite keeping a clean sheet last weekend against Stoke, they were mightily lucky to do so. With Sunderland keeping themselves outside of the relegation fight so far, the Mackems will be eager to see that continue with a good result against the Reds.
- Manchester City v Everton (2/3 with Ladbrokes) – City have only managed one clean sheet in their last 17 matches against an Everton side who have scored regularly this season. The Toffees themselves don’t look much cop at the back and goals apiece are very likely at the Etihad on Saturday evening.
Sunday 7th December 2014
- Aston Villa v Leicester City (19/20 with Coral) – These two sides are embroiled in a relegation scrap and goals look very likely at Villa Park on Sunday , especially if it goes the same way as Leicester vs. QPR which saw five goals and 51 attempts on goal.
- Barcelona v Espanyol (29/20 with BetVictor) -Odds of 29/20 were too good for us to ignore for this Barcelona derby. Despite Barcelona occupying the upper reaches of the table, form often goes out of the window in derby matches and Sergio Gonzalez’s side are certain to be fired up for this one.
Monday 8th December 2014
- Southampton v Manchester United (7/10 with Ladbrokes) – Ronald Koeman will be hoping his side fares better than the last time they came up against a Manchester side whilst Louis van Gaal will be looking to put a serious dent in Southampton’s European hopes. Both sides have got goals in them, just look at Southampton’s 8-0 demolition of Sunderland, and there could well be goals at St. Mary’s on Monday evening.
