This week sees a number of international friendlies being played and the managers will be looking to tinker with their sides. The South American managers will be looking to build up some much needed momentum ahead of the Copa America which takes place in Chile.
There is also the small matter of the Champions League final this weekend and that is just one of our BTTS tips for the bumper weekend of football.
Friday 5th June 2015
- Netherlands v USA (Evens with Bet365) – The Dutch have been very inconsistent recently losing to the likes of Iceland but beating Spain yet with their range of attacking options they will be confident of scoring against the USA. The Americans however, will also be expecting to score and they have found the net in each of their last five matches against European opposition, making BTTS a fine bet at evens.
Saturday 6th June 2015
- Barcelona v Juventus (20/21 with BetVictor) – With a front three of Luis Suarez, Neymar and Lionel Messi we can’t see Barcelona failing to score on Saturday, however, it would be foolish to write off a team with as much experience and quality as the Old Lady and in Alvaro Morata and Carlos Tevez, they have a top notch strikeforce. Both to score looks a solid bet at just shy of evens.
Sunday 7th June 2015
- Russia v Belarus (11/10 with Betfred) – Belarus have been in good form heading into this fixture beating the likes of Mexico, who impressed at the World Cup last year. Russia’s last game was a 0-0 draw with Kazakhstan but in front of their own fans at the Khimki Arena they will want to put in a good performance in a fixture which has seen both teams score in two out of the three meetings between these two.
- Ireland v England (Evens with BetVictor) – Both teams hit the back of the net the last time these two played, indeed there is rarely a clean sheet kept when these two rivals face off. England have an inexperienced attack we are confident there will be goals aplenty amongst their ranks, and the home side should get on the scoresheet, even if it does prove to be a consolation goal.
- France v Belgium (10/11 with Coral) – The last two meetings between these two sides have finished 0-0 but we’re tipping both sides to score with the amount of attacking talent on show and it could well be a busy game for Thibaut Courtois and Hugo Lloris.
- Brazil v Mexico (5/4 with Ladbrokes) – The Brazilians have been in scintillating form of late and they have racked up a number of impressive scorelines including a pair of 4-0 wins over Japan and Turkey. Mexico meanwhile are blessed with a number of good attacking options and we’d back them to score in Sao Paulo.
Monday 8th June
- Norway v Sweden (Evens with Coral) – These two met two years ago with Sweden triumphing 4-2 and with Zlatan Ibrahimovic taking to the field we’d back the Swedes to score. Meanwhile all eyes will be on Martin Odegaard with the 16-year-old recently making his debut for Real Madrid’s first team, becoming their youngest ever player in the process.
