This weekend sees two massive games take place on Sunday as Arsenal and Manchester United resume their rivalry whilst Liverpool make the short trip across Stanley park to face Everton.
There are a number of other exciting games and with there being so many goals last weekend – 41 in 10 games – now might be a good time to get a BTTS acca in!
Saturday 3rd October
- Aston Villa v Stoke City (10/11 with Betfred) – Aston Villa and Stoke enjoy a semi-rivalry and with both sides languishing near the foot of the table it could be an important game. Villa have been scoring quite a few of late and we think they’ll score but they look unlikely to keep a clean sheet against a Stoke team who got their first win under their belts last weekend.
- Norwich City v Leicester City (4/6 with BetVictor) – Alex Neil’s side are the best performing newly promoted club and they have scored the most goals out of the three and we’d back them to find the back of the net at Carrow Road. However, Leicester have scored in every match so far this season and they have the best attack in the division, based on goals scored.
- Bournemouth v Watford (3/4 with BetVictor) These two sides have had a decent start to the season but the result of this game could be vital come the end of the season. Eddie Howe’s troops look good going forwards but we can’t see them keeping out a Watford side who can call upon the talents of Troy Deeney and Odion Ighalo.
- Manchester City v Newcastle United (10/11 with Betfair) – City conceded four last weekend and we think that Newcastle will take advantage of the injuries to City’s back four and grab a goal or two. However, we can’t see Steve McLaren’s men getting their first clean sheet of the season at the Etihad given the attacking talent City have at their disposal.
- Chelsea v Southampton (10/11 with Betfred) – Both sides scored in each of lasts season’s clashes and given the start Chelsea have made, we can’t see them keeping out a Saints outfit who have five goals in their last two matches. At the other end, Chelsea have been scoring and you’d always back them to find the net in front of their own fans.
Sunday 4th October
- Everton v Liverpool (3/4 with BetVictor) – These two sides have scored quite a few of late with signs that Roberto Martinez has got his players back to their best and we think the Toffees will take the game to their rivals. They can sometimes get caught out at the back however and a clean sheet looks unlikely.
- Arsenal v Manchester United (7/10 with Betfair) – We like the look of goals in this one with Manchester United beginning to hit their stride, however, as they showed against Southampton, they can be a bit sloppy at the back and we’d back an Arsenal side who scored five last week to take advantage of that.
