European football returns this week and the continental conquest certainly could have gone better for the English sides in the first round of group matches as only Chelsea managed to get all three points with Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United all losing.
This week sees a full fixture list and we like the look of BTTS in some of these matches and we’ve selected seven tips for you that we are confident will bring in some profit.
Tuesday 29th September
- BATE Borisov v AS Roma (21/20 with Coral) – Roma saw both teams score in their opener with Barcelona and whilst this should be an easier match for Rudi Garcia’s side we still think that both keepers will pick the ball out of their net. Borisov are tough nuts to crack in front of their own supporters and we think that they’ll get a goal or two on Tuesday.
- Barcelona v Bayer Leverkusen (4/5 with Coral) – Barca are thrilling to watch going forwards but at times this season they have been awful at the back with Celta Vigo, Athletic Bilbao and Sevilla all scoring four against Luis Enrique’s side. Messi, Neymar and Suarez can only do so much and we’re backing Leverkusen to get on the scoresheet..
- Lyon v Valenica (4/5 with Betfred) – Both of these sides played their part in entertaining first matches with Valencia losing 3-2 to Zenit and Lyon drawing 1-1 with Gent. We’re expecting goals again in this one with the French side not the sharpest at the back although in Anthiny Lacazette they have a highly sought after striker.
- Porto v Chelsea (evens with Betfair) – Julen Lopetegui’s side are good at home and having played out a 2-2 draw with Dynamo Kiev, we’re backing them to score against a Chelsea side who haven’t been great at the back so far this term. That said, there are signs that the Blues are getting back to full form after starting pre-season later than any other team in the Premier League and we like the look of BTTS here.
- Maccabi Tel Aviv v Dynamo Kiev (11/10 with Coral) – Slavisa Jokanovic’s side were outplayed by Chelsea on Matchday One but we’re backing them to grab a goal in front of their own fans here. We would be surprised if they were able to keep a Dynamo side featuring Andriy Yarmolenko quiet, however, so BTTS is, of course, the call.
Wednesday 30th September 2015
- Manchester United v Wolfsburg (8/11 with Ladbrokes) – The German outfit have been going along steadily and we’d back them to score a goal against a United side who created plenty of chances but struggled to finish in their opening defeat at the hands of PSV. Both teams have scored in the only two meetings between the two sides.
- Borussia Monchengladbach v Manchester City (8/11 with BetVictor) – Monchengladbach didn’t enjoy the best start to the season but after Lucien Favre’s resignation we think that they’ll put in a good shift against a City side who still look dodgy in Europe. This one has got goals written all over it.
