This week sees Tottenham host Manchester City in the Premier League’s early kick off and that begins what should be a fine weekend of football.
Crystal Palace travel to Watford whilst Liverpool look to turn their season around when they host out of form Aston Villa and we’ve selected matches from across the top flight and the Championship as we bring you our weekly BTTS tips.
Saturday 19th September
- Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester City (13/20 with BetVictor) – Tottenham haven’t been that great going forwards so far this term but we fancy them to get a goal against a City side who will miss the presence of Vincent Kompany. At the other end we can’t see their Belgian duo of Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen keeping out a City side who have goals throughout the side.
- Leicester City v Arsenal (3/5 with BetVictor) – This game has goals written all over it with the Foxes in good form so far this season and they have netted 13 times already. However, they are yet to keep a clean sheet and we really like the look of BTTS with Arsenal rarely firing blanks, especially against the lesser-ranked sides.
- Southampton v Swansea City (evens with Betfred) – Southampton fans saw five goals scored in their last match at St Mary’s and we reckon that there’ll be quite a few goals when Garry Monk’s side travel to the South Coast. Swansea have been in decent nick so far this year and we like the look of BTTS for this one.
- West Ham v Norwich City (4/6 with Sky Bet) – The Hammers are joint top scorers alongside Leicester and we’re backing them to grab a few goals against a Norwich side who don’t look the best at the back. However, Alex Neil’s side do carry a goal threat and both sides have scored in two of the last three meetings between the two.
- Newcastle United v Chelsea (5/6 with Bet365) – Newcastle have an impressive record against the Blues and we’re backing them to get themselves on the scoresheet against what is one of the worst defences in the division. That said, Newcastle are hardly brilliant at the back and we can see Jose Mourinho’s side bagging a few goals in the North East.
Sunday 20th September 2015
- Middlesbrough v Leeds United (11/10 with Betfred) – Boro have started the season well and they will be looking to end their poor run of form against the Yorkshire side on Sunday. However, Leeds have looked in pretty good shape under Uwe Rosler and only two of their games have seen a clean sheet so far this season.
- Watford v Crystal Palace (10/11 with Betfred) – Watford have been quietly impressive so far this season and they looked good against Newcastle last weekend as they secured a 2-1 win. However, we can’t see them keeping a Palace side who are blessed with an abundance of attacking options quiet for this game.
