As the festive season draws to an end we enter the second half of the season and whilst there have already been plenty of thrills and spills, there are surely a whole load more to come our way.
As the normality of Saturday football returns we have looked through the fixture list to seek out the grounds where it is most likely to be raining goals starting with an absolute cracker in the Championship.
Saturday 2nd January 2016
- Middlesbrough v Derby County (21/20 with Coral) – The top two in the Championship go head to head this weekend and we’re backing both sides to hit the back of the net with both outfits boasting a number of top quality attacking players. It ended 1-1 when the two sides met earlier in the season and we can’t see there being a clean sheet at the Riverside on Saturday.
- West Bromwich Albion v Stoke City (11/10 with BetVictor) – The Baggies have been a bit inconsistent of late yet they do have goals in them and we’re backing them to find the back of the net in this clash against Stoke. However, Tony Pulis may well have a hard time of it against his former side with the Potters in great form of late.
- West Ham v Liverpool (10/11 with Betfred) – Liverpool’s quick turnaround from Sunderland in midweek may well mean that they are feeling a bit leggy in this clash against the Hammers which should give West Ham a few chances to stamp their authority on proceedings. That said, we’d be surprised if they were able to keep out the Reds and BTTS looks on the cards at nice odds.
- Leicester City v Bournemouth (4/6 with BetVictor) – The Foxes have been great value for BTTS this season and we can’t see a clean sheet being kept as they prepare to face Bournemouth at the King Power. Both of these sides play in a very similar fashion and we think that there could well be plenty of goals between them.
- Watford v Manchester City (7/10 with BetVictor) – Manchester City have the best attack in the division with 37 goals to their name so far this term yet they haven’t been as successful at the back having conceded 20 goals and given the form that Odion Ighalo has been in we’d back that figure to rise on Saturday.
- Norwich City v Southampton (20/23 with Coral) – Southampton have disappointed a little this season but they are still a great team to watch on their day and they should get some joy against a Norwich side who have only mustered two clean sheets in their last 10 league matches.
Sunday 3rd January 2016
- Everton v Tottenham Hotspur (3/5 with BetVictor) – This game looks like it should be a cracking fixture and with the goalscoring form Everton have been in of late, we can’t see this one ending without plenty of goals being scored as Spurs look to take advantage of the Toffees’ gung-ho approach.
