The games keep on coming thick and fast in the Premier League during the winter period, a run of games which is only rivalled by the Easter break.
It is period of the season which can prove make or break for clubs and it is often highlighted as a key time to generate momentum as we head into the second half of the campaign. This Bank Holiday Monday sees plenty of games being played and we’ve selected seven fine BTTS tips from the action to help replenish you bank account.
Monday 28th December
- Everton v Stoke City (19/20 with Coral) – Everton have won a lot of plaudits for their style of play this season and they really are a joy to watch; yet they can often be caught on the hop and that is one of the reasons why they have the worst defence in the top half. Whilst the home side are likely to score, we can’t see them keeping a clean sheet and odds just the wrong side of evens are well worth snapping up for both to score.
- Watford v Tottenham Hotspur (20/23 with Coral) – Spurs have been in very good form this season and we’d back them to score against Bournemouth, but with Odion Ighalo in such fine fettle it wouldn’t be a surprise if the home side were able to hit the back of the net either.
- Arsenal v Bournemouth (10/11 with Betfred) – Bournemouth have been great going forwards at times this season, but they, like Everton, can get caught on the break as they look to attack. They have found their groove lately, but five of their last six games have seen both sides hit the back of the net.
- West Bromwich Albion v Newcastle United (10/11 with Betfred) – West Brom have been scoring more lately, but they have also been conceding more as well and we think that both sides will be able to hit the back of the net in this clash as two sides in need of a win go head to head. The Baggies have seen both sides score in their last five Premier League matches whilst Newcastle have seen one clean sheet in their last four.

- Leicester City v Manchester City (8/15 with Bet365) – Leicester have been bang on the money so far this season and their attacking duo of Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy has seen them climb to the top of the table. If they are to stay there come the end of the season they need to be winning games like this and whilst we’d be surprised if they kept a clean sheet, we fully expect them to score in front of their own fans.
- Leeds United v Derby County (20/21 with BetVictor) – Both of these sides have been in good nick lately and with both sides scoring in two of the last three meetings between the two sides, we’re backing it to happen again as the two sides clash at Elland Road on Tuesday evening.
