As you struggle to move due to the amount of Turkey consumed over the Christmas period, the best thing to do is sit back, relax and watch the football on Boxing Day.
This year we have three televised games to watch as well as any 3 o’clock kick offs you might be going to or following from afar on Soccer Saturday or Final Score and with so much football, there are plenty of chances to have a bet on the footy. Here are our latest BTTS tips to help you win some festive cash.
Saturday 26th December
- Stoke City v Manchester United (evens with Betfair) – Stoke City and Manchester United don’t really take part in high scoring games, but we think that this one will see both sides score. United’s defensive solidity has dissolved in recent weeks and Stoke should find a goal at home, but we can’t see them keeping a clean sheet after their recent defensive performances.
- Chelsea v Watford (39/40 with BetVictor) – Watford have been banging in the goals in recent weeks whilst Chelsea have seen both sides score in plenty of their matches this season and we can’t see a clean sheet cropping up in this one.
- Liverpool v Leicester City (4/7 with Ladbrokes) – This one looks as though it has plenty of goals in it and if it is anything like the 2-2 draw played out at Anfield last season we could be in for a real treat. Leicester are great up top but they have been fairly poor at the back and we can’t see them keeping a clean sheet at Anfield.
- Tottenham Hotspur v Norwich City (evens with Sky Bet) – Tottenham Hotspur have been in good form this season but we think that a Norwich City side who triumphed on the road against Manchester United last weekend may well be able to get a goal at White Hart Lane.
- Bournemouth v Crystal Palace (4/5 with BetVictor) – This is another game which should be fairly entertaining and we think that there’ll be goals on the south coast as these two sides go head to head. Bournemouth have been finding the back of the net lately after a long barren spell but they will struggle to keep a clean sheet against Alan Pardew’s side who have scored 23 goals so far this term.
- Newcastle United v Everton (3/5 with BetVictor) – This game will almost certainly produce goals and this fixture has a long history of high scoring encounters. The Magpies have been scoring of late and they should get some joy against an Everton side who are so attacking they can forget to defend at times.
- Southampton v Arsenal (8/11 with Betfred) – The last of the Boxing Day games sees Arsenal travel to St Mary’s and we think that both sides will find the back of the net in this clash. Arsenal have been scoring plenty lately and whilst Southampton have fired a few blanks, they still have enough about them to trouble the Gunners.
