With so many international breaks, this campaign already feels disjointed with teams struggling to build any kind of momentum. That may well be a good thing for Arsenal however, who have been given time to clear their heads after a dreadful start to their European campaign and we think they’ll give a good account of themselves against Bayern Munich with that game being one of our seven Champions League BTTS tips.
Tuesday 20th October
- Dynamo Kiev v Chelsea (4/5 with Betfred) – Chelsea’s awful defensive record this season will give plenty of confidence to the Ukrainian champions as they look to become the next side to get one over the west London side. However, Chelsea have consistently been scoring so far this term and we’re backing Mourinho’s side to get a win in this one.
- Bayer Leverkusen v Roma (3/4 with Coral) – Both sides have scored in nearly every one of Roma’s games so far this term and we like the look of BTTS in this one. Roger Schmidt’s side play some excellent attacking football, however that can leave them exposed at times and it is little surprise to see that they have conceded in both of their group games so far.
- Arsenal v Bayern Munich (8/15 with Betfred) – On their day, Arsenal are up there with the best in Europe and we think they’ll put in a big performance against Bayern at the Emirates. That said, Bayern have been in fine form and they have bagged 18 goals in their last four matches so we can’t see them firing blanks.
- BATE Borisov v Barcelona (evens with Bet365) On paper, this should be a walkover for the Catalan side but things are rarely that simple in this corner of Belarus. Borisov have already beaten the likes of Bayern Munich and Roma at home in recent times and they have Barca firmly in their sights. Luis Enrique’s side have too much quality not to score, but don’t be surprised if Borisov pull a rabbit out of the hat in this one.

- CSKA Moscow v Manchester United (3/4 with BetVictor) – CSKA are another side who are good at home and with the form they’re in it would be a surprise if they were unable to find a way past United at the Luzhniki. At the other end we think that United will come up with a goal or two and at times this season their attacking play has been excellent.
- Manchester City v Sevilla (8/13 with Betfred) – Sevilla are a side with an exceptional home record but on the road they aren’t as good which will give City plenty of heart. However, they do have some quality players in their ranks and Ciro Immobile is more than capable of troubling the Citizens.
- Paris St Germain v Real Madrid (13/20 with BetVictor) – There are too many goalscorers on the pitch for this one to see a clean sheet and despite these sides keeping clean sheets in their opening two games, we think there’ll be too much attacking quality on display to see one at the Parc des Princes.
