The group stages of the Champions League sees Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea all join Manchester United – who qualified via the play-offs – in the Champions League group stages this week.

Tuesday 15th September 2015
- Real Madrid v Shakhtar Donetsk (11/10 with Bet365) – Madrid may well take their foot off the gas for this fixture and Shakhtar are certainly dangerous opponents. However, whilst they may concede, Real will always be confident of scoring with Cristiano Ronaldo in their ranks.
- PSV Eindhoven v Manchester United (20/21 with BetVictor) – United have looked disjointed at times this season and PSV’s 3-1 over Feyenoord showed why they romped to the league title last year. That said, Phillip Cocu’s side aren’t the strongest at the back and we can’t see them keeping a clean sheet.
- Chelsea v Maccabi Tel Aviv (11/5 with Coral) – Whilst Chelsea are expected to win, we don’t think they’ll keep out the Israeli side given their defensive struggles they’ve experienced this season already. Jose Mourinho’s side have conceded in every game they have played in so far and we fancy that run to continue against Slavisa Jokanovic’s side.
- Wolfsburg v CSKA Moscow (4/6 with Bet365) – Wolfsburg have plenty of goals in them and CSKA are often a bit sloppy at the back on their travels in Europe but they are also capable of moments of magic such as their double over City last season. Both sides have scored in CSKA’s last four Champions League matches and we fancy it to be five on Tuesday.
- Galatasaray v Atletico Madrid (7/5 with Betfair) – Atletico have spent big this summer and their acquisition of Jackson Martinez should mean that they score plenty this campaign. Galatasaray have also started in an attacking manner having knocked four past Konyaspor the other week and we don’t think Diego Simeone’s side will keep a clean sheet on their travels to Turkey.

- AS Roma v Barcelona (5/6 with Bet365) – Barcelona lost 4-0 to Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish Super Cup and if Roma catch Luis Enrique’s side in a similar mood then they may well knock in a few goals in the capital. However, Rudi Garcia’s side have conceded in all of their Serie A games so far this season and we can’t see them keeping out Barca on Wednesday.
- Valencia v Zenit St Petersburg (10/11 with Coral) – This game has got goals written all over it as Andre Villas-Boas’s side travel to the Spanish coast to face a Valencia side who regularly take part in high scoring games. Brazilian striker Hulk will be the main threat for the Russians and he has bagged four goals in his last seven appearances.
