Domestic football returns this week after a brief interlude of international football which saw England become the first team to qualify for next year’s Euros whilst Wales and Northern Ireland also edged closer to France.
With attention returning to the Premier League, lots of eyes will be on Chelsea who have had a terrible start to the season and their trip to face Everton is just one of our seven BTTS tips.
Saturday 12th September 2015
- Everton v Chelsea (10/11 with Betfred) – This fixture screams goals after Chelsea’s poor start to the season has seen them concede nine goals and we’d back that figure to rise when they face an Everton side who are in decent nick. However Chelsea have a lot of firepower and we can’t see them firing a blank in this fixture.
- Crystal Palace v Manchester City (7/10 with BetVictor) – City are yet to concede so far this season but we think that run will come to an end as they travel to a ground where they lost 2-1 last season. The Citizens are top of the league not only because of an imperious defence but their attacking play which has been simply brilliant and if that carries on then they could help themselves to a few in South London, albeit while conceding at least one.
- Norwich City v Bournemouth (8/11 with BetVictor) – Both sides have scored in the last three meetings between these two sides and we think that run will continue with the Canaries scoring in every home match that they have played in. At the back, Alex Neil’s side may well be exposed by Bournemouth and BTTS looks a tempting bet in this one.
- Leeds United v Brentford (8/11 with Betfair) – Both sides have scored in all but one of Leeds’ matches this season and Uwe Rosler has got his side playing some good stuff so far this year with Chris Wood getting off to a flyer after his big money move from Leicester. However, the German’s brand of ‘heavy metal football’ can lead to the Whites tiring in the second half and the Bees will certainly get chances.
- Atletico Madrid v Barcelona (10/11 with Betfred) – Diego Simeone’s side have scored four goals already this term and Jackson Martinez has hit the ground running after moving to Madrid from Porto. However it will be hard to keep a side containing Luis Suarez, Neymar and Lionel Messi all quiet.

- Leicester City v Aston Villa (4/5 with BetVictor) – Villa’s last two matches have seen seven goals scored in total whilst matches involving the Foxes are averaging at over three goals per game this season so we fancy there to be goals at the King Power Stadium on Sunday.
- Sunderland v Tottenham Hotspur (4/5 with Coral) – Tottenham should get plenty of joy against the worst defensive outfit in the division yet they may well not keep a clean sheet with Jermain Defoe no doubt hoping to cause his old side plenty of problems. Both sides have scored in every game Sunderland have played in this season and we fully expect that run to continue.
