Many football fans across the country view the international breaks with malaise citing the fact that there are far too many dead rubbers to make it interesting. We however would disagree with that and there are plenty of enthralling stories out there from Iceland’s rise to the top table of European football to Greece being in dire straits.

- Turkey v Netherlands (evens with Sky Bet) – Both these sides are within a shout of qualifying for the Euros with Holland struggling to recapture the form that took them to the World Cup semi-finals. Whilst they aren’t the sharpest at the back, they have plenty of options going forwards and we like the look of BTTS here.
Monday 7th June 2015
- Scotland v Germany (10/11 with Coral) – Scotland have scored in every qualifier at Hampden Park so far and we’d back that run to continue against a side they have troubled in the past. Joachim Low’s side surely have too much firepower for the Scots but we certainly think the hosts will net a consolation goal.
- Northern Ireland v Hungary (11/10 with Bet365) – These two sides are fairly well matched and with both sides scoring when they clashed in Budapest we’re backing BTTS in this one. Kyle Lafferty is spearheading a rise for the Green and White Army, but O’Neill’s side still look a bit short at the back.
- Albania v Portugal (5/4 with BetVictor) – Albania are all but assured of a play-off place for the Euros and that is an impressive feat for a nation who are bereft of big names like Cristiano Ronaldo. They beat France in their last match and whilst you’d fancy Portugal to win, the Albanians certainly carry a threat going forwards.

- Slovakia v Ukraine (10/11 with Ladbrokes) – Slovakia have been on fire so far this qualifying campaign and we’d back them to continue their good run of form in front of their own fans. However, Ukraine are no mugs and their wide men Andriy Yarmolenko and Yehven Konoplyanka certainly carry a threat.
- England v Switzerland (8/11 with Sky Bet) – England didn’t exactly shower themselves in glory when they won 3-2 away to Slovenia with the former Yugoslav state causing England plenty of problems at the back and if the Three Lions defend like that again then they will concede to a decent Swiss side, however it would take something special from Vladimir Petkovic’s side to keep out England at Wembley.
- Sweden v Austria (10/11 with Ladbrokes) – These two sides are the best in the group and they are the two highest scorers as well. Both sides hit the back of the net when they met earlier in the competition and we think that there will be plenty of goals when the two sides meet in Solna.
