Friday 13th is unlucky for some but the Republic of Ireland side will be hoping that the luck of the Irish can help them on their way as they head into a qualifier against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
There are also plenty of friendlies taking place this week with glamour ties such as France against Germany and Spain hosting England… alongside a couple of less attractive options including Andorra against St Kitts and Nevis. Read on to find out which games have made our BTTS tips.
Friday 13th November
- England v Spain (6/5 with Betfair) – This will be one of England’s first major tests since the World Cup and they head into it with their strikers bang in form. Spain of course are a brilliant side who have really hit their stride of late but we think that England have enough about them to hit the back of the net in this one.
- Belgium v Italy (21/20 with Betfair) – Italy and Belgium both qualified for France with flying colours and this should be a really impressive game. The Belgians have a star-studded attack and they should be able to get goals in Brussels but you can never rule out Antonio Conte’s side.
- France v Germany (5/6 with Betfair) – Germany haven’t been in the same rich vein of from that saw the lift the World Cup but we still think that they have enough about them to grab a goal or two in this one. The pressure will be on France who could do with a positive result to boost morale ahead of next summer’s tournament and given the form they have been in, you wouldn’t rule that out.
- Wales v Netherlands (23/20 with Coral) – Wales have dropped off a bit lately and we think that they may well concede against an out of sorts Holland side. That said, Danny Blind’s side have been awful at the back themselves and both sides should score in this one.
- Poland v Iceland (19/20 with Coral) – Iceland have qualified for their first major tournament with flying colours and we’re backing them to find a goal in this clash against Poland in Warsaw. However, at the other end, we think that Poland will be a tough side to keep out, particularly as they have Robert Lewandowski up front.
- Slovakia v Switzerland (19/20 with BetVictor) – Slovakia had a good qualifying campaign and with results such as their 2-1 win over Spain, they are not a side to be taken lightly. Switzerland have conceded in two of their last three away games yet we still think that they have enough about them to score in this one.
- Luxembourg v Greece (13/10 with Coral) – Luxembourg don’t have a particularly impressive history but they have scored in their last two home matches and we think that they’ll find the back of the net against a Greece side who laboured through qualifying. However, we can’t see them keeping a clean sheet against the Ethniki.
