Football is often put into perspective when events such as the horrific attack on Paris occur but all eyes will return to the matches this Tuesday, particularly France’s friendly with England which has been given the green light to go ahead.
Elsewhere there looks to be some exciting matches with Belgium and Spain locking horns as well as old rivals Germany and Holland reacquainting themselves and both matches are featured amongst our BTTS selections.
Tuesday 10th November
- Russia v Croatia (11/10 with Sky Bet) – These two sides look fairly well matched and they are both in pot two for the finals next year. The Russians are currently enjoying a good run of form and they will likely get a goal in front of their own fans but we can’t see them keeping a clean sheet against a decent Croatia side.
- Belgium v Spain (10/11 with Coral) – Both of these sides have plenty of quality in their ranks and we think that there will be plenty of goals to feast your eyes upon when they meet on Tuesday. Belgium haven’t kept a clean sheet in four games but they have won them all and this one could go either way, with an entertaining game a likelihood.
- Italy v Romania (27/20 with Coral) – Italy have been conceding quite a few goals of late and whilst Romania are a side who often feature in low scoring matches we think that this one will be a reasonably high scoring affair. The Italians need a reaction after their 3-1 defeat against Belgium but Romania are certainly no pushovers.
- Germany v Holland (4/7 with Betfair) – Holland were abysmal in qualifying but they did manage to get a 3-2 win over Wales recently and we think that they’ll be able to find a goal against the world champions. Joachim Low’s side haven’t been at their best lately but they surely have too much quality in them to not find the back of the net against Danny Blind’s underperforming outfit.
- Luxembourg v Portugal (11/8 with Coral) – Luxembourg have won two of their last three matches on home soil and they found the back of the net in their defeat at the hands of Slovakia. We think that they could grab a goal against Portugal but we can’t see them keeping a clean sheet against Fernando Santos’ side.
- Poland v Czech Republic (17/20 with BetVictor) The Czech Republic have scored seven goals in their last two matches whilst Poland put four past Iceland last week so goals loom likely in this one as two sides who will be in France next year lock horns.
- England v France (20/21 with Betfair) – Whilst the match will forever be a footnote to the atrocities in Paris, France did manage to beat Germany last week and they have the potential to do the same to England. However, the Three Lions are a good side at home and we like the look of BTTS in this one.
