With Christmas approaching, the league table is beginning to take shape and it is still Leicester City who are the pacesetters in the division; they take on champions Chelsea on Monday night in what is sure to be an entertaining game.
However, there are still plenty of other matches this weekend and we’ve picked out seven games form the Premier League and Championship which are likely to see goals galore.
Saturday 12th December 2015
- Norwich City v Everton (8/11 with Sky Bet) – Everton have been brilliant going forwards this term and they have the third highest goal tally in the division. However, they do concede a few goals as well and we like the look of BTTS at Carrow Road.
- Sunderland v Watford (19/20 with Betfair) – The Black Cats have picked up a bit since Big Sam took charge and they have started to find the back of the net with more regularity as well. Their visitors are Watford and whilst Sunderland have picked up going forwards, they are still poor at the back and we fancy an in-form Odion Ighalo to get on the scoresheet.
- Crystal Palace v Southampton (10/11 with Betfair) – Both sides have scored in three of Palace’s last four matches whilst Southampton have only failed to score once in their last 10 in the league and we’re backing both sides to find the back of the net in this clash in south London.
- Charlton Athletic v Leeds United (10/11 with Betfair) – Leeds have one of the better away records in the Championship despite their lowly position and they will be looking to grab a win from relegation-threatened Charlton. However, the Whites have been in a forgiving mood defensively of late and we think that both sides will definitely bag in this one.
- Fulham v Brentford (8/13 with Coral) – One of the highlights from the Championship this weekend sees Fulham take on Brentford in a west London derby and there is likely to be plenty of goals at Craven Cottage. Fulham have been out of sorts lately but they have seen both sides score in five of their last six matches and we think that’s likely to be the case again this weekend.
Sunday 13th December 2015
- Aston Villa v Arsenal (37/10 with BetVictor) – Aston Villa haven’t been at the races this season, yet due to Arsenal’s injury situation we think that the home side will get a goal, or two at the Emirates, however, a clean sheet for the Villains is a rare thing indeed and we can’t see them keeping Arsenal out.
- Tottenham Hotspur v Newcastle United (10/11 with Betfred) – Spurs are unbeaten since the opening day of the season but they have still seen both sides score in five of their last six league matches and we think that will be the case again this weekend. Newcastle will be full of confidence after beating Liverpool last weekend, but they do still have major defensive issues.
