The second round of qualifiers for the 2016 European Championships begins on Thursday and this article will aim to pick five games in which we are confident both teams will find the net.
Quite often in international football the gulf in class between sides is greater than it is in domestic football meaning less matches finish with both teams scoring, but we have carefully selected the games you should back which should result in you winning some cold, hard cash.

Thursday 9th October 2014
- Sweden v Russia (21/20 with Ladbrokes) – Each of the last three meetings between Sweden and Russia have ended with both teams scoring and we expect this to happen again here. Zlatan Ibrahimovic will likely lead the line for the team in yellow, and the dynamic and powerful front man is always capable of scoring, whilst Russia showed in their 4-0 victory over Liechtenstein that they are a side full of goals, albeit against sub-standard opposition.

- Wales v Bosnia-Herzegovina (5/6 with Sky Bet) – Both these sides started their qualifying journey with games that finished 2-1 and we are tipping this game to finish with both teams scoring as well. The “Golden Generation” of Welsh football, spearheaded by Real Madrid star Gareth Bale, will be eager to win in front of their home fans whilst Bosnia will be looking to bounce back from their shock home defeat. With lots at stake for these two teams we can see it being close but with plenty of attacking talent available to both managers, goals are all but assured.
- Turkey v Czech Republic (Evens with Ladbrokes) – The Turks will be looking to bounce back from a heavy 3-0 defeat to Iceland in which they looked very porous at the back. They do have an impressive goal scoring record at home with 10 goals in the last five in front of their ever-intimidating supporters. We can foresee this being a game with goals for both teams due to the recent home record of Turkey but also due to the promising signs shown by the Czech’s who beat the Netherlands 2-1 in the shock result of the first round of qualifying matches.

- Armenia v Serbia (Evens with BetVictor) – The home side started their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign with a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Denmark which was game number four of the last five that saw both teams score. The Serbian national side have also been involved in four BTTS affairs in their last five so the recent form of these two sides is why we have chosen this as one of the five in which we envisage both teams scoring.
- Poland v Germany (4/5 with Ladbrokes) – Germany’s slim victory over Scotland in the last lot of games taught us that although they still look capable of scoring goals, the German’s may miss Per Merteaker and Phillip Lahm at the back, who have both retired. This is why we are choosing this as our final both teams to score tip, confident it will bring a healthy return at nice odds.
