This week sees the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 matches with Chelsea the one British side in action and their game against Paris St Germain at Stamford Bridge looks as though it could be an exciting one.
There are also a number of intriguing clashes in the Europa League with North West rivals Liverpool and Manchester United battling it out for bragging rights at Anfield. All of the English sides remaining in the competition feature in our tips – read on to find out who else does.
Tuesday 8th March 2016
- Real Madrid v AS Roma (4/6 with Bet365) – The game between these two at the Stadio Olimpico finished 2-0 to Real but Roma have been scoring plenty of goals all season and we can’t see this one ending with a clean sheet. Real have been sloppy at the back of late yet you wouldn’t bet against the Romans scoring at the Bernabeu.
- Wolfsburg v Gent (4/5 with Bet365) – The weakest side left in the Champions League, Gent, are still in with a shout of making it through to the last eight after a pulsating game in Belgium finished 3-2 to Wolfsburg. There could be plenty of goals in this game as two attacking sides go head to head.
Wednesday 9th March 2016
- Chelsea v Paris St Germain (5/6 with BetVictor) – Chelsea and PSG have a history of producing high scoring matches and there has only been one clean sheet in the last six meetings between the two sides. The game at the Parc des Princes had plenty of chances in it and we think that this game at Stamford Bridge will follow a similar pattern.
Thursday 10th March 2016
- Borussia Dortmund v Tottenham Hotspur (17/20 with BetVictor) – Both of these two sides have scored plenty of goals this season and both play with a similar style and it will be intriguing to see who comes out on top in this clash. There should be at least a goal each when these two meet at the Westfalenstadion.
- Basel v Sevilla (7/10 with BetVictor) – Sevilla have only failed to score once in their last 10 matches in all competitions and they should be able to find the back of the net in this game against the Swiss champions. However, we can’t see them leaving Basel with a clean sheet.
- Villarreal v Bayer Leverkusen (5/6 with BetVictor) – Bayer Leverkusen’s season is in danger of unravelling, but they have managed to maintain their European form and this should be an exciting clash as Roger Schmidt’s side travel to El Madrigal.
- Liverpool v Manchester United (23/20 with Coral) – Manchester United have started finding the back of the net with much more regularity lately and if young gun Marcus Rashford keeps on scoring, they will be confident of leaving Anfield with an away goal. However, Liverpool do have a goal in them as well and we think it will be an exciting game on Thursday, with BTTS huge at 23/20.
