The next round of Premier League fixtures includes a heavyweight title battle, with Chelsea facing Manchester City at Stamford Bridge. The reigning champions are looking to establish themselves in the fight for the trophy, with all the focus going towards the Manchester clubs right now. However, Chelsea’s 4-0 win over Stoke laid down a marker for the Blues. But will they be able to keep another clean sheet when the Citizens come to visit this weekend? It’s hard to see any team keeping this City attack quiet right now.
Of course, City aren’t the only side who have a brilliant attack, with the Premier League filling up with world class forward players. The top sides are all scoring for fun, and the rest of the division are struggling to keep up. That should lead to a few high scoring games, as we expect another goal-filled weekend of Premier League action. Saturday 30th September 2017
- Bournemouth v Leicester (8/13 with Betfair) – Bournemouth may have lost at Everton on Saturday, but they impressed as they took an early lead. The Cherries seem back in form, and they should trouble Leicester’s hit and miss defence. However, the attacking firepower in the Foxes’ squad should see them grab a goal in this trip.
- Stoke v Southampton (19/20 with bet365) – The Saints have scored in eight of their last 10 on the road in the top flight, and they should add to that against Stoke. Meanwhile, Stoke will be desperate to bounce back from their Chelsea mauling with a result and we can see them at least getting on the scoresheet.
- Chelsea v Man City (4/7 with Betfred) – Chelsea have a huge test this weekend as they face Man City, which is going to be a challenging encounter all round. These two are each in inspired form going forward, and we see goals when they clash in the biggest game of the season so far.

- Everton v Burnley (19/20 with Ladbrokes) – Burnley’s excellent record in their away trips comes as they faced three of last season’s top four. They scored in every game, losing none, so we see them troubling Everton this weekend. The Toffees aren’t in the great form, conceding 10 goals in their last four league games. That has us backing BTTS in this clash on Sunday.
- Newcastle v Liverpool (4/6 with Coral) – Liverpool’s defensive issues show no signs of going away, and they face a Newcastle team who have won three of their last four. The Magpies have started scoring goals at home, and we see them taking advantage of the Reds’ issues in defence on Sunday. Meanwhile, the visitors’ have hit 10 goals in their last four away league games, so expect them to score.
