This weekend’s action sees some big games taking place in which there promise to be loads of goals. Biggest of them all is the first El Clasico of the season as Barcelona and Real Madrid take to the field once again in one of sport’s greatest rivalries. - Sunderland v Arsenal (5/6 with BetVictor) – Sunderland were beaten 8-0 by Southampton last time out in the Premier League and they will desperately need to step up. Arsenal have been far from convincing themselves, scoring regularly but worryingly for Arsene Wenger, conceding regularly too. A Sunderland reaction and a leaky Arsenal defence could make for a goal fest.
- Leeds United v Wolverhampton Wanderers (4/5 with Ladbrokes) – Leeds look to have solved their attacking problems with the inclusion of Brazilian attacking midfielder Adryan in recent weeks and Darko Milanic will be keen to send out his charges fired up in order to get his first home victory. Wolves have been scoring well of late and Leeds’ leaky defence may mean that there are goals galore at Elland Road.
- Real Madrid v Barcelona (9/20 with Bet Victor) – Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, Gareth Bale and whisper it quietly Luis Suarez. Any defence in the world would struggle to contain those players. The odds are short, but goals are all but guaranteed in what promises to be one of the most interesting clashes between the famous old rivals.
- Liverpool v Hull City (10/11 with Sky Bet) – 10/11 are brilliant odds for a match which features a Liverpool defence who were very easily bullied by Bobby Zamora last weekend, a role that Nikica Jelavic could fulfil easily. However, they have a wealth of attacking talent and the likes of Raheem Sterling and Daniel Sturridge, who may return, always have a goal in them.

- Manchester United v Chelsea (6/10 with Coral) – Louis van Gaal’s revolution hit another snag as United drew with West Brom on Monday night. They will be keen to step up at home and will have a lot to prove. Chelsea on the other hand have been rampant so far, but they occasionally sacrifice defence for attack which means goals could be a real possibility.
- Burnley v Everton (5/6 with Sky Bet) – For a back four with two established England internationals in, Everton’s defence has looked very leaky and Burnley have the potential to add to their woes. However, with the return of Ross Barkley and Romelu Lukaku up top, you certainly wouldn’t bet against the Toffees getting on the scoresheet.
- Lyon v Marseille (8/11 with Ladbrokes) – First place travel to fourth in Ligue 1 and Lyon will be looking to their home fans to help them gain points on their rivals. Both teams have scored in the last three meetings and with the likes of Andre-Pierre Gignac playing for Marseille, goals are likely at the Stade de Gerland on Sunday.
