It’s squeaky bum time in the Premier League with plenty to be decided at both the top and the bottom of the division and with a bumper schedule of football, we think that there will be plenty of goals this weekend.
Saturday 16th April 2016
- Norwich City v Sunderland (10/11 with Sky Bet) – First up is the massively significant relegation six pointer at Carrow Road as Norwich and Sunderland lock horns. The home side have been involved in some high scoring games of late whilst Sunderland have seen both sides score in their last two matches on the road.
- Everton v Southampton (4/5 with Betfred) – Southampton have been in good form lately and they have seen both sides score in four of their last five matches as they look to get a Europa League place. They face an Everton side who have seen plenty of goals scored at either end in their matches this season.
- Newcastle United v Swansea City (10/11 with Bet365) – Newcastle have scored quite a few lately, but they have been woeful at the back and they look doomed to be playing in the second tier next season and if they fail to win this match, it is hard to see them escaping the drop. They will have their work cut out against a Swansea side who have won four of their last six matches.
- Chelsea v Manchester City (7/10 with BetVictor) – Manchester City have averaged two goals a game across their last five matches and we think that they’ll hit the back of the net in this game at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening. However, they will have a hard job keeping this Chelsea side quiet given the way they have played under Guus Hiddink this season.
Sunday 17th April 2017
- Bournemouth v Liverpool (4/5 with Coral) – Bournemouth will be thrilled with the way this season has gone and a win against Liverpool would be a nice way to top it off. They lost both of the other meetings this season by a 1-0 scoreline, however, we think that there will be plenty of goals in this clash with Liverpool fatigued after a tough Europa League match.
- Leicester City v West Ham (3/4 with Coral) – Both keepers are likely to be kept busy in this game at the King Power Stadium as West Ham travel to the East Midlands. The home side haven’t failed to score in their last 10 matches, whilst Slaven Bilic’s side have only fired a blank in one of their last 10.
- Arsenal v Crystal Palace (10/11 with Bet365) – This London derby sees Crystal Palace head north of the river to face Arsenal who have scored nine goals in their last three matches. They will be confident of hitting the back of the net again this weekend as they face a Palace side who have really fallen away. However, Alan Pardew’s side will take heart from Arsenal’s 3-3 draw with West Ham in which the Gunners were defensively awaful.
