The Premier League started with a bang with 30 goals spread across the opening round of matches, including five games in which both teams to score would have been a winning bet. We’ve taken a look at all the divisions for the weekend ahead and we’ve got some more nice BTTS tips so if you love goals and you love betting, you’re in the right place.
Saturday 15th August 2015
- Southampton v Everton (Evens with Coral) – Both sides have some excellent attacking players but both were a little sloppy in the opening round of games. Both Southampton and Everton drew 2-2 last weekend and we think BTTS is huge at evens here. The Toffees remain prone to defensive lapses, whilst the home team will find things harder this term after their brilliant campaign last year and having lost more of their best players they look much weaker at the back.
- Swansea v Newcastle (10/11 with Betfred) – Newcastle drew 2-2 with the Saints whilst Swansea got a good 2-2 draw at Chelsea. Newcastle should be okay this season and we think they can at least score in this game, with BTTS again well priced.
- Tottenham v Stoke (10/11 with Totesport) – In contrast to the tips and teams above, where week one saw plenty of goals, both of these sides lost 1-0 in their opening fixtures. However, backing both teams to score looks a very good option as both managers like their sides to express themselves and both will feel they can win this game.
- Bristol City v Brentford (7/10 with BetVictor) – Brentford are an attacking side and after doing so well last season they will want to push for promotion again. They drew 2-2 last weekend, whilst City, who dominated League One last term, lost 2-0 at Sheffield Wednesday. Many firms go much shorter on both sides scoring here so grab BetVictor’s odds while you can.
Sunday 16th August 2015
- Crystal Palace v Arsenal (9/10 with Ladbrokes) – Both of these sides were tipped in many quarters to have good seasons and whilst Palace started well with a 3-1 win at Norwich, Arsenal went down 2-0 at home to West Ham. Both sides have loads of pace and plenty of attacking options and this could be a real thriller so get on BTTS now, yet again at a very good price.
- Reading v Leeds (Evens with Coral) – Reading and Leeds will both think they can push for promotion this term and at this stage it’s hard to say which is better equipped. Leeds played well in patches in a home draw with Burnley, whilst Reading went down 2-1 at Birmingham. The away team like to play nice football under Uwe Rosler but that could leave them open and both teams to score is big at evens here.
- Wigan v Doncaster (9/10 with BetVictor) – Two of League One’s biggest sides battle it out this Sunday and BTTS is a steal at 9/10 given the attacking talent on display and the fact that the home side, even at this early stage of the season, just have to win.
