We’ve already had plenty of shocks from the early stages of the Premier League, with defending once again looking like a forgotten art. The top flight feels like it is getting more open by the week, with sides losing their solidity at the back. That obviously gives us hope that we can land a few both teams to score bets, as there’s never been a better time to place them on the Premier League. Ahead of a new round of matches, we can see quite a few goals this weekend.
There’s a great double header of games on Sunday this week, with both Manchester United and Chelsea in action. Friday 15th September 2017
- Bournemouth v Brighton (20/21 with Betfair) – Brighton got off the mark with three goals against West Brom, and we see them carrying on against a weak Bournemouth defence. However, the Cherries should extend their decent home scoring record.
Saturday 16th September 2017
- Huddersfield v Leicester (5/6 with Ladbrokes) – The Foxes haven’t made the strongest start to the season defensively, they could struggle away to an in form Huddersfield, but we at least see the visitors’ impressive strikeforce getting a goal.
- Liverpool v Burnley (11/10 with Betfred) – Burnley’s start to the season has been impressive, scoring at Chelsea and Tottenham without losing. We see them adding to that, but it’s hard to see anyone shutting down this Liverpool attack at Anfield.
- Newcastle v Stoke (10/11 with Coral) – Newcastle seem to finally have found their scoring touch, but Stoke kicked into gear last weekend too. We expect both sides to come out and attack here, so this could end up being a high scoring game.
- Watford v Man City (10/11 with Bet365) – Watford’s bright start mixed with City’s midweek European trip bodes well for the Hornets, and we’re backing the hosts to score, but City’s firepower should see them easily hit back.
Sunday 17th September 2017
- Chelsea v Arsenal (4/6 with Betfair) – While Chelsea have seen a huge upturn in form, they’re still shipping goals. Arsenal’s three last weekend has them back on course, so we can see them causing problems for the Blues, who are starting to have their squad stretched.
- Manchester United v Everton (21/20 with BetVictor) – Manchester United’s 2-2 draw with Stoke must have given others hope of troubling them, and Everton are well set up to do that this weekend. We can see Koeman’s men catching out the Red Devils, so we’re backing BTTS.
