There’s no top flight or Champions League action this week, but there’s still a lot of football to tide us over before the weekend. The EFL Cup reaches the quarter-final stage this week, while there’s league and cup action going on around Europe. With so much going on, it might well be a good time to try a both teams to score bet.
BTTS accumulators are growing in popularity, especially as the level of defending appears to have plummeted across the board. These midweek games should provide us with plenty of goals, and we’ve picked out a few that you should keep an eye on. If you’re planning a BTTS acca this week, or if you could be tempted into one, then these are the games we think you should be looking at.
Tuesday 29th November 2016
- Hull v Newcastle (3/4 with Betfair) – Despite being a division apart, these are two evenly matched sides. In fact, Championship table toppers Newcastle might even be slightly better. We can see them coming out on the front foot here, which would really open this game up.
- Liverpool v Leeds (21/20 with Coral) – Liverpool may be having a great season, but they’re not too solid at the back yet. They’re still conceding goals, and we think even Championship side Leeds can take advantage. They’re doing well under Garry Monk, so we’re backing them to grab a goal at Anfield.
- Real Betis v Deportivo (4/6 with Bet365) – Usually, the Copa del Rey gives us some mismatches early on. However, these two sides are fairly evenly matched. Both have seen BTTS in the majority of their league games so far, and we’re backing both to get on the scoresheet here.
- Leganes v Valencia (4/5 with Ladbrokes) – Valencia are really struggling in La Liga, they’re only just outside the drop zone. Leganes have made a solid start in the top flight, and we can see them scoring against a side who have no clean sheets in their last 12 games.
- Dijon v Monaco (4/5 with Sky Bet) – Monaco are getting a lot of great results, but they’re doing it while conceding. They’ve kept three clean sheets in 10 away games in all competitions, and we’re backing Dijon to continue that poor run with a goal here.
Wednesday 30th November 2016
- Arsenal v Southampton (4/6 with Coral) – Southampton have a lot of attacking talent, and they’re likely to face a rotated Arsenal defence. There should be gaps at the Emirates for the Saints to exploit, while we can’t see Wenger’s team drawing a blank here. That’s why we’re going for BTTS here.
- Manchester United v West Ham (10/11 with Totesport) – Jose Mourinho is used to having a solid defence, but his team can’t seem to keep clean sheets this term. West Ham need cup success after their poor start, and with their skilled attackers coming back from injury, we can see the Hammers scoring at Old Trafford.
