With the Premier League approaching its business end, there is still plenty to be decided at both the top and the bottom of the division as the battle for European spots and the scrap to avoid relegation intensifies. The title may look like being Chelsea’s to lose but until they have it in the bag there will be no let up from Jose Mourinho’s men and the Blues’ visit to Arsenal is the highlight of the football weekend.
The relegation battle is certainly far more open and crucial to the final outcome of that could be the result of Burnley against Leicester and that is just one of our seven BTTS tips for you.
Saturday 25th April 2015
- Southampton v Tottenham (5/6 with Ladbrokes) – A Tottenham clean sheet is a rare occurrence, especially on the road, and Southampton will be confident that they can hit the back of the net. Defensively, they have been weakened by the continued absence of Fraser Forster and with Harry Kane reaching 30 goals for the season there could be plenty of goals in this one.
- Burnley v Leicester City (5/6 with Sky Bet) – These two have conceded a combined total of 102 goals this season already and both teams should get plenty of chances. The Foxes are on a good run of form and they will be hoping to extend that at Turf Moor, however, Burnley can surprise the opposition at home and this should be a good game with both desperate for the win.
- West Bromwich Albion v Liverpool (5/6 with BetVictor) – Liverpool struggled with the pace of Christian Benteke last weekend and with Brown Ideye and Saido Berahino fairly quick, they could come unstuck again. That said, the Baggies haven’t been at their best defensively recently and Liverpool are very good going forwards against the “lesser” teams.
- Queens Park Rangers v West Ham (8/11 with Sky Bet) – The Hammers’ away record is very poor and that will give QPR fans some genuine hope as they battle to avoid the drop. However, Chris Ramsay’s side have the worst defence in the league and West Ham will get plenty of chances, it’s just a matter of whether they can convert them.
- Manchester City v Aston Villa (21/20 with BetVictor) – Tim Sherwood has got Aston Villa firing in front of goal again and Christian Benteke looks back to his brutal best, which should worry City who have been sloppy at the back this season. However, at the other end they have Sergio Aguero who is arguably the best striker in the world and he can trouble Villa in Saturday’s late kick off.

- Everton v Manchester United (4/5 with Betfred) – Louis van Gaal’s side have only won three of their last nine away games in the league and with Everton scoring in their last five matches, a clean sheet for David de Gea looks unlikely here. That said, United have only failed to score once since January 11th and so there could be plenty of goals in this one.
- Arsenal v Chelsea (17/20 with BetVictor) – Arsenal have had a fine second half of the season and with all their attacking talent they will be confident of scoring against Chelsea, particularly with Olivier Giroud in superb form. However, they can sometimes look frail at the back and although Chelsea are without Diego Costa, they still have plenty of goals in them, with Eden Hazard scoring freely in recent weeks.
