There may be no Champions League action in midweek, but there is football all around Europe. There are domestic games across a number of top leagues, plus the third round of the EFL Cup. There are plenty of great matches being played on Tuesday and Wednesday, including huge cup ties and massive derbies. There’s even a meeting between two of Spain’s big three. There’s certainly more than enough to keep you busy.
Looking at this week’s fixtures, we’re expecting to see plenty of goals. There’s a fantastic line up of games, many of which look very open. We’re backing an exciting couple of nights, certainly one for a both teams to score accumulator. Here we’ve picked out the best BTTS bets across Tuesday and Wednesday night, in case you’re looking for a few extra games for your coupon.
Tuesday 20th September 2016
- Leicester v Chelsea (4/6 with Bet365) – The biggest clash of the third round, can Leicester push forward and claim more silverware? These two sides have been wide open at the back at times, and that should lead to goals at the King Power.
- Derby v Liverpool (4/6 with Coral) – No matter who they’re playing, you’d fancy Liverpool to concede. Derby should put up a fight against the Reds, especially if Jurgen Klopp decides to field a rotated side.
- Sevilla v Real Betis (8/13 with Coral) – This game is one of the biggest in Spain, arguably one of the biggest derbies in the world. These two play an open game, and that should lead to goals in this clash. Betis just hit three at Valencia, while Sevilla’s new coach has implemented an attacking style for league clashes.
- Leeds v Blackburn (8/11 with BetVictor) – These two are regulars among the goals in the Championship. Both are struggling this term, and their meeting a week ago finished 2-1. With neither side looking great at the back, we’re backing goals at Elland Road and both teams to score looks good.
Wednesday 21st September 2016
- Southampton v Crystal Palace (7/10 with Bet365) – These sides met twice here last season, and BTTS came in during both clashes. Southampton have made a pretty poor start, so Palace actually have a chance of causing a shock here. We’re tipping the Eagles to get a goal at St Mary’s, as the Saints have yet to keep a home clean sheet this term.
- Barcelona v Atletico Madrid (10/11 with Bet365) – Two title contenders go head to head in La Liga, both having dropped points early in the season. Given how strong these two are going forward, we think BTTS is very well priced here.
- Stoke v Hull (8/11 with Betfair) – Stoke have had a shocking start to the campaign, Hull genuinely have a chance of getting a result here. The Tigers will make big changes, but they have a thin squad. That should open things up for Stoke, who can’t seem to keep a clean sheet and we fancy both teams will score at least once here.
