With more goals scored in the second legs of ties as opposed to the first, it may well be a good week to put your money on both teams to score. However, there are so many matches being played, so which do you choose?
Luckily for you, we’ve scanned our eyes over the fixtures in both the Champions League and the Europa League to bring you seven great BTTS tips across three action packed nights of football.
Tuesday 17th March 2015
- Atletico Madrid v Bayer Leverkusen (6/5 with Coral) – Atletico have an excellent record at home in the Champions League recently and we’d fancy them to hit the back of the net against Leverkusen. However, as the first leg showed the Germans are no pushovers and the absence of Diego Godin will help their cause in front of goal.
- Monaco v Arsenal (4/5 with Betfred) – The Ligue 1 side lead 3-1 after the first leg which means Arsene Wenger’s men must come out all guns blazing if they are to reach the next round of the competition. They should be able to score against the French side, but their desire to get forward may well leave them exposed at the back.
Wednesday 18th March 2015
- Barcelona v Manchester City (8/11 with Ladbrokes) – With 11 goals in his last 10 Champions League matches, Sergio Aguero will be City’s biggest threat as they attempt to overturn a 2-1 deficit. Both teams scored in the second leg last year and we fancy the same to happen here, particularly with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez being in fine form of late.
- Borussia Dortmund v Juventus (4/5 with BetVictor) – The German side don’t have a great defensive record against Juve, and we definitely fancy both teams to score here. Whilst Dortmund are behind in the tie, they have more than enough about them to hit the back of the net, particularly given their recent upturn in form in the Bundesliga.
Thursday 19th March 2015
- Dynamo Kiev v Everton (31/40 with BetVictor) – The Toffees look a different side in Europe and they take a slender lead to Kiev. With Andriy Yarmolenko and Dieumerci Mbokani in the home ranks they will be a threat in front of their own fans, although they can sometimes be shaky at the back, especially their aging goalkeeper.
- Dinamo Moscow v Napoli (7/10 with BetVictor) – Rafael Benitez’s side are amongst the favourites to win the Europa League and they lead this tie 3-1 after a strong showing in Italy. However, whilst Napoli are a very good side, it would be foolhardy to underestimate the Russian team, who have a good squad of their own and as they showed in the group stages they can beat teams with ease when they get going.
- Club Brugge v Besiktas (4/5 with BetVictor) – Brugge hold a 2-1 lead after the first leg and we’re backing BTTS in the second leg. The Belgian side are a real surprise package but Istanbul is a hard place to go as Liverpool found out in the last round, although after comfortably beating Aalborg, Brugge have shown they can perform on the European stage too.
