This week sees the second legs of both the Europa League and Champions League round of 16 and there are five English sides in action. There won’t be so many in the quarters though!
Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United and Arsenal are going to struggle to make it through to the next round of the completion but there is still plenty of excitement to be had. Read on to see our seven BTTS tips for the forthcoming week.
Tuesday 15th March 2016
- Atletico Madrid v PSV Eindhoven (7/4 with Betfair) – PSV have scored 12 goals across their past six matches in all competitions and we think that they’ll be able to bag at least one in this game. Atletico Madrid have a great record at the Vicente Calderon, but we’ve got a feeling that the Dutch side can pull something out of the bag in this match.
- Manchester City v Dynamo Kiev (17/20 with BetVictor) – Manchester City are a great side going forwards but they do have something lacking defensively and we think that there could be goals in this one. The Ukrainian side have a goal or two in them, but they’ll do well to keep City put at the Etihad.
Wednesday 16th March 2016
- Barcelona v Arsenal (10/11 with Betfair) – We were surprised that this game featured a clean sheet in the first leg and we can’t see the return leg ending with one. Barca, for all their strengths, can be unpicked at the back and with the quality Arsenal have going forwards, we’re backing both sides to score in this one.
- Bayern Munich v Juventus (19/20 with Bet365) – Both of these sides have plenty of goals in them and that was evident in the first leg when they produced a cracking 2-2 draw. The German side are obviously big favourites for this tie, but we think they’ll concede against a Juve side who are on a cracking run of form at the minute.
Thursday 17th March 2016
- Sevilla v Basel (11/10 with Sky Bet) – This tie finished 0-0 when the two played in Switzerland last week, but we think both keepers will be picking the ball out of the back of the net in this one. Sevilla have a great record at home, but Basel are a canny side in Europe and they have goals in them.
- Tottenham Hotspur v Borussia Dortmund (4/6 with Sky Bet) – Tottenham were battered at the Westfalenstadion last week and we think there’ll be more goals, when these two high scoring sides clash at White Hart Lane. Both of them have plenty of goals in them and in Harry Kane and Pierre Aubameyang two top quality strikers will be taking to the field.
- Anderlecht v Shakhtar Donetsk (31/40 with BetVictor) – Shakhtar won the first leg 3-1 and we think that there will be goals when the pair meet again in Belgium. Both of these sides have good European pedigree and it should be an entertaining game.
