After seeing the 72 Football League clubs get their season underway, fans of Premier League sides get the chance to see their team in league action this weekend.
There are some cracking games this weekend as well and we’ve picked out games from the Premier League, Championship and Scottish Premier League for your both teams to score coupons this weekend.
Saturday 13th August 2016
- Everton v Tottenham Hotspur (4/5 with Bet365) – This is a classic Premier League fixture and it often serves up entertainment to match. With Spurs looking to go one better than last season and Everton looking to improve under Ronald Koeman it is a big game and it should be an exciting one to boot.
- Manchester City v Sunderland (23/20 with Betfair) – David Moyes often had a good record against big sides when he was in charge of Everton and he will be looking to keep that going with Sunderland. The Black Cats have been something of a bogey team for City recently and whilst they are likely to concede, don’t bet against them nicking one at the other end.
- Middlesbrough v Stoke City (11/10 with Coral) – The Riverside will be rocking this weekend with Stoke making the trip up to Teesside and a partisan home crowd could give Boro the boost they need to grab a goal. However, Stoke will be looking for another good season in the top flight and they have plenty going forwards so get on both to score here.
- Aberdeen v Hearts (4/6 with Bet365) – One of the more intriguing games comes from Scotland this weekend as Aberdeen and Hearts face off. These two are probably the strongest sides in the division bar the Old Firm duo and both will be hoping to overhaul the Glasgow sides and three points here could well be vital.
- Norwich City v Sheffield Wednesday (4/5 with Bet365) – Norwich smashed four past a hapless Blackburn Rovers outfit last weekend and given the strength they have going forwards, they will fancy their chances at Carrow Road. However, Sheffield Wednesday are no mugs and in Fernando Forrestieri have one of the best forwards in the division. BTTS is worth backing in a game that could be a thriller.

- Arsenal v Liverpool (4/6 with Sky Bet) – Games between these two have been fairly high scoring lately and with the way the pair have played in pre-season this could be a real cracker. Both sides have good forward lines and although Arsenal could do with another top quality striker, there are plenty of goals in their side so both to score looks a banker.
Monday 15th August 2016
- Chelsea v West Ham (19/20 with Bet365) – Monday night sees the first London derby of the season and it should be a good match as Slaven Bilic’s side look to get one over west London’s finest. They have done well in keeping Dmitri Payet, and Andy Carroll has benefited from a full pre-season. Goals look likely at Stamford Bridge and both teams to score is great value here.
